The Moon Township Schoolhouse Activity Center has rooms available for rental of meetings, birthday parties, showers, reunions, and other small events.
Rental Rooms Available: Community Room (includes Kitchen area), Classroom, Fitness Room. The facility room rental does not include use of the grounds.
Time - The activity center rooms are available to be rented in four (4) hour consecutive hour time periods between 11 a.m. & 11 p.m. Rental time must include time for setup (tables/chairs, etc.), tear down (place center’s tables/chairs back to original location), and clean up (remove rental equipment/personal belongings, and bag garbage) by the renter.
Capacity - Community Room (48 persons), Fitness Room (25 persons) and Classroom (30 persons).
General Renter's Responsibilities - Renters are responsible for setting up, planning, decorating, tearing down, removing personal belongings/rental equipment, and bagging garbage within their scheduled rental hours.
Fees - Fees are listed in the document linked below. To qualify for the resident rate, the renter must provide proof of residency in Moon Township, sign the agreement, make all payments, and be the primary point of contact for the reserved event.
Detailed Rental Information Including Fees
Reservations may be made up to one year in advance to the first business day of the month and are initiated via phone. Please see the section below for timing details to make a reservation for May of 2025. For any rental months prior to this, please call 412-262-1703 X404 (T-TH) for availability.
The first day to make reservations for May of 2025 will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Beginning at 8:30a.m. on May1, please leave a message at 412-262-1703 Ext. 404 indicating the date that you would like to reserve. Callbacks will be made on May 1 in the order of messages received from May 1st, 8:30a.m. and on.
If your date is available and you would like to proceed with renting a room at the activity center, paperwork will be emailed to start the process. Once the paperwork is completed and returned to us, a payment link will be emailed to make the deposit payment of $150.00 (in addition to fees) and is necessary to secure the request for rental. Should there be damages; the deposit will be used for the repair. If damages exceed $150.00, the renter will be charged accordingly. If all conditions are met in the agreement, the deposit will be returned. Deposit and fees are due in full at the time of signing.
